The Goldwork Guild Exhibition at The American Museum, Bath is now open!       

The Goldwork Guild Exhibition has opened at The American Museum, Bath and is running until Sunday 14th September. Rarely seen, yet glittering to behold, a magnificent display of gold, silver and metal work embroidery comes to Bath for the first time. We are displaying modern as well as antique textiles, and also demonstrating this ancient art!

Sacred Stitches: Ecclesiastical Textiles in the Rothschild Collection at Waddesdon Manor

Any one who's planning visits and trips for the summer may be interested to know about this exhibition at Waddesdon Manor that started on 27th March and goes through until 27th October 2013.  There is more information on the website here:  Sacred Stitches Exhibition but it will contain textiles dating from c1400 to the late1700s.  The manor is just outside Aylesbury just off the A41.

Goldwork Guild Meeting April 2012

The next meeting of the Goldwork Guild will be on Sunday 15th April 2012.

Venue: Whitminster Village Hall, Gloucestershire, GL2,7NT [just off the A38]
Cost: £12 for the whole day; £8.00 for the afternoon
Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Note: Afternoon part starts at 2:00 pm

Catch up with fellow Goldwork enthusiasts; the day will include some practical fun in an informal and relaxed setting and is an opportunity to express our thoughts and hopes for the Guild's future.
